On Saturday, May 17th, the heart of Third Ward was alive with energy, movement, and unity as we hosted the 2nd Annual Community Fitness Fest at Level One Fitness. From sunrise setup to the final cool-down, the event brought together families, fitness lovers, and community leaders with one shared goal—to promote wellness, connection, and sustainable health.
This free, family-friendly event—powered by The L1 Foundation, Level One Fitness, and FitOnWheelz—delivered a full day of impact. Over 100 attendees came through for a lineup that included:
High-energy group fitness like Trampoline Bounce, Yoga for Athletic Excellence, Line Dance, Step Aerobics, and Bands with Can
A dynamic Kids Zone with an obstacle course, arts & crafts, and youth fitness sessions
Live DJ, food trucks, and over 15 community vendors sharing wellness resources, products, and support
And a powerful panel discussion on Building Sustainable Health in Our Communities, featuring local experts and voices from the frontlines of health, wellness, and advocacy
What made the day special wasn’t just the movement—it was the message. That health is for everyone, that wellness starts where we live, and that real change happens when community comes together.
We’re incredibly grateful to every instructor, volunteer, partner, and participant who helped bring this vision to life. Special thanks to our community vendors, including the Houston Health Department, MyFitFoods, That Stuff Nutrition, AFH, Avenue 360 Health & Wellness, and many more who showed up and showed love.
This is more than an annual event—it's a movement toward sustainable health equity, and it’s only just beginning.
