Empowering the Community – Fit for Finance 2025 Recap

On Saturday, April 26th, The L1 Foundation proudly hosted its Fit for Finance: Financial Literacy Community Fair at Level One Fitness in Houston, Texas — and the energy was unmatched!

From start to finish, the event embodied what The L1 Foundation stands for: community empowerment, education, and access. Over 15 local vendors registered to share resources and practical tools in areas like personal and business banking, credit repair, tax preparation, insurance, investing, and real estate.

The event kicked off with warm welcomes and vendor spotlights, setting the tone for a full day of connection and collaboration. Attendees were able to visit tables, speak with financial professionals, enter raffles, and receive free materials to help guide their financial journeys.

One of the most anticipated moments of the day was the Featured Panel Discussion: “Generational Wealth & Entrepreneurship: Building a Legacy That Lasts”Hosted by Koko K of The Muscle Hustle Podcast and Mike G, the panel featured eight powerful voices from across finance, entrepreneurship, and community leadership. Together, they unpacked real-world strategies for wealth-building, overcoming financial barriers, and preparing the next generation for success.

Another major highlight was the enthusiasm around the 30-Day Savings Challenge. Many attendees committed to finishing strong and tagging @thel1foundation with their progress as part of our Financial Literacy Month initiative.

We’re incredibly grateful to all of our vendors, volunteers, panelists, and community members who showed up and made the event a success. The feedback has been overwhelming — many left feeling inspired, informed, and ready to take action.
